Scripture
Therefore everyone who hears these
words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house
on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat
against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the
rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into
practice is like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain came
down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it
fell with a great crash. Matthew 7:24-27

Kitchen
Captains Jim & Deb VanderHeyden &
Arlene
We have blessings
coming out our ears out here. The
Lord is SO faithful!!!!!
-Our kettle/mail
out response was spectacular - far outreaching the amounts that the previous
Corps Officer had budgeted
-We have received
donations toward the purchase of a new Program Vehicle
-Captain Jimmy has
taken over the Family Services program, including the food bank, and he has such
a gift for it I just love to listen to him talk to these people.
Jim and Deb don't
just hand out anything. The
recipient hears about the Lord, gets invited to Church, and if they are abusing
the system, they are still given some food but are also given a warning that we
don't tolerate that.
The soup kitchen participants have settled down more. The Lord is so present
here that it is a privilege just to be here.
-We will be
filling the office vacancy April 1st.
I am looking forward to that so I can get back to Nursing Home/Hospital
ministry. I will also have more
time to spend with the emergency response team, so I am looking forward to that.
